Murray on the money to sink Hammers
พนัน บอล Brighton must wish they could play West Ham every week and West Ham must hope they never see them again. The visitors dominated last night but could not score as Brighton won their third successive match against the Londoners.
Glenn Murray scored after 25 minutes to give Brighton only their third win in their past 17 Premier League games and take them six points clear of the bottom three ahead of the rest of the weekend's matches. For West Ham, it was a setback after a run of three games unbeaten, but they could not be faulted for effort - just finishing.
Brighton based last season's survival on determined defending and a good record at the Amex Stadium and showed their confidence in central defenders Lewis Dunk and Ireland international Shane Duffy by awarding them both new five-year contracts before the game, keeping them at Brighton until June 2023.
West Ham's first effort on goal came after 14 minutes and it was spectacular. Marko Arnautovic, 20 yards out, พนัน บอล met a free-kick from the right by Felipe Anderson with a volley that appeared to be heading for the net until it struck Murray and was deflected wide.
And after 24 minutes, Brighton were ahead. Israel midfield player Beram Kayal won the ball from Yarmolenko and broke into space down the left. His low cross was met by the unmarked Murray, who scored with a first-time shot.
The Hammers nearly bagged an equaliser on the half-hour mark when Anderson picked out Pablo Zabaleta, who ran behind Gaetan Bong and cut the ball back. However, Pedro Obiang's shot bounced into the turf and looped just over the crossbar.
West Ham opened the second half with plenty of attacking intent. The Brighton defence was constantly at full stretch, forced to defend a series of corners and free-kicks, พนัน บอล and they were relieved when Fabian Balbuena headed wide under just short of the hour.
West Ham were pinning them back, probing for an opening. But a combination of wastefulness and determined defending kept them out. Arnautovic curled a free-kick over the crossbar and blasted a cut-back from substitute Lucas Perez way too high.
